Our biggest accomplishment yet!

It's Anaelle with The Diamono Project! This post requires a bit of a story time to understand just how significant it is.

When I first started working with the Khonkhoma School, most students would stop their education at the equivalent of 6th or 7th grade. Being in high school at the time and knowing I still had years of education to complete, it was hard to wrap my head around. It was a humbling reminder that getting an education was an opportunity that not everyone receives. We were already working to give students resources, but I set an intention to get these students to and through high school.

This was a long process as we needed to quite literally change the mindset of a whole community. We had to get them to believe that not only could they graduate high-school, but there were tangible benefits for the students, their families, and future generations. Ultimately that's the core message of The Diamono Project; Our Generation, Helping the Next Generation. That's not just you and I supporting our younger students, it's guiding our older students to places that allow them to help the students that come after them and making sure that cycle continues.

9 years later, I am so proud to present the graduating Class of 2025: Bouyal Sow, Bineta Sow, Adama Sow, Mohamed Sow, Khardita Ka, and Fatou Ba.

They are all completing their first year of their degree at University now. Your support of The Diamono Porject has been able to fully fund their college tuitions through the completion of their degree.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this possible.

I cannot wait to introduce you to the graduating class of 2026, but for now. Please swipe through their pictures to see what and where our 2025 grads are studying!

If you want to continue to support them and future generations of students get tickets to our annual Murder Mystery Fundraiser now!
